Q: I’m new to surplus. How does it work?
A: We buy name brand items at auctions, as well as distributor overstocks and close outs and typically, we sell them at 40% to 60% off retail. Please note that merchandise we buy sight unseen that turns out to have scratches or dings from being warehoused for a while or moved several times are typically discounted as much as 80% off retail.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: All sales are final since we have no way to return items. We invite you to inspect the items you want and determine if you think it’s a good value before you buy it.
Q: Will you hold my item while I make a decision?
A: Yes, but we can only hold it for 24 hours.
We sure do. Layaway is interest free. A 15% non-refundable deposit of the selling price is required and the balance is due within 30 days.
Q: Will you load my purchased items into my vehicle?
A: If we have the staff available, we will assist you. However, due to insurance regulations and store policy, we cannot be responsible for any damages that occur to your vehicle or the merchandise. The buyer must assume full responsibility. We recommend that you bring someone with you to help load the vehicle and that you have rope, blankets, tie down straps, etc. to safely secure the items in your vehicle.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: No, but we can refer you to several professional moving companies that provide delivery service.
A: No, but we know qualified installers, remodelers, and other home service providers that we refer our customers to. See our Homeowners page for a current list.
A: It depends. We deal with a small but growing number of vendors that have surplus items we can order. Please note that all special orders must be paid for in advance.
Q: Do you sell seasonal items?
A: Yes we do. Whenever we find bargains on things like fire wood, pine straw, pottery, etc., we buy them and then pass the savings onto our customers.
Q: Can I purchase an item today and pick it up later?
A: Absolutely. You have 7 days to pick up a purchased item. However you assume all risks during that time.
Q: What if I don’t find what I’m looking for?
A. Visit us weekly. We receive shipments frequently on a variety of styles and sizes of windows, doors, cabinets flooring, sinks, faucets, and more. You can also sign up for our e-mail newsletter in the store or online by clicking here. We e-mail our customers each time we receive a shipment, which is usually 2 to 4 times a month.
